Graf Hires Top Talent for Saatchi & Saatchi NY

05 SEP 2008

New York - Saatchi & Saatchi New York has announced the hire of Manny Galan as Senior Vice President, Creative Director on Youth Connection. Galan began his advertising career at Griffin Bacal and had most recently been Director of Content at Nickelodeon, responsible for on-air branding/advertising. Prior to Nickelodeon, he was an Illustrator/Writer for Marvel Comics Group.

Gerry Graf, Chief Creative Officer at Saatchi & Saatchi New York notes: "We are very fortunate to have Manny on board. He brings an incredible depth of branding experience and high level of talent to the Agency."

Graf has also hired two new Associate Creative Directors, Chris Beresford-Hill (copy) and Nick Spahr (art).

Chris was most recently with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners where he was responsible for Emerald Nuts weirdness, including 2007's super bowl spot: "Boogeyman," starring the late, great Robert Goulet. While there, Chris also created numerous integrated campaigns for Comcast, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as well as campaigns for Hewlett-Packard and the WNBA. Prior to Goodby, Chris was with Modernista! where he created campaigns for brands like HUMMER, Napster, Budweiser and Animal Planet.

His work has been recognized at Cannes, One Show, Art Director's Club, Andy Awards, AICP, Radio Mercury Awards, and the Mixx awards, a new viral awards show, where his work for HP was honored with Best in Show.

Nick comes to Saatchi & Saatchi from San Francisco, where he's spent his entire advertising career. There, he worked for Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, most notably on Comcast. Before that, he was at Venables, Bell & Partners, where he worked on HBO, Mondavi, and Barclay's. And before that, he was at Leagas Delaney, where he worked on adidas. Nick's work has been recognized by Communication Arts, The One Show, the Kelly Awards, and Cannes.

"Chris and Nick are a terrific addition and like most of us, will be working on a little bit of everything," said Graf.
