Saatchi & Saatchi LA Appoints New President

Torrance, CA - Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles has announced that Paul Mareski will join the agency as its new President, effective June 1.  He will help with the day-to-day aspects of running the agency and oversee the Toyota account.

Mareski, 39, joins the agency from Team One, where he's currently Executive Director, overseeing the Lexus National and Dealer Association Business.  He will report to Kurt Ritter, Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi West Coast Operations and CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi LA.  Mareski will work closely with all departments, including Creative, Media, Strategic Planning, Account Management, Public Relations, Finance, and Human Resources.

"I have great respect for the innovative work I've seen come out of Saatchi LA, and I'm honored to play a part in leading this team," said Mareski.   "I look forward to collaborating with the client and the talented people behind the work to continue the momentum."

A native of Detroit, automotive is in Mareski's blood.  He has 17 years of automotive marketing experience.  Mareski has been with Team One since 2000.  He left briefly in 2004 to serve as Vice President of Advertising for Mitsubishi before rejoining the agency in his current role as Executive Director.

He began his career at Young & Rubicam in Detroit and went on to hold several leadership positions with the agency overseeing aspects of the Lincoln-Mercury business.  Mareski is an alumnus of Michigan State University.
