Richard Hytner
Richard, a Mancunian MA and LL.M in Law from Cambridge
University, is Deputy Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi.
For 5 years he has been responsible for driving Saatchi & Saatchi's
programme of continuous transformation as the Lovemarks Company, working with
our leadership teams and clients across the world to accelerate
transformational performance and Lovemarks Company practices. In pursuit of
world-changing ideas, Richard and his team run intense, practical, creative
programmes to help Saatchi & Saatchi's people, agencies and clients to
transform their Purposes, their Strategies, and Marketing Challenges, to earn
more Loyalty Beyond Reason.
Richard joined Saatchi & Saatchi in 2003 as Chairman
& CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa, having graduated as a Sloan
Fellow from London Business School. Prior to that, Richard had been UK
CEO & Chairman of Publicis and Chairman of the UK's consumer consultancy,
The Henley Centre.
Richard has been an Executive Fellow of London Business School since 2007 and,
in 2011, was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor of Marketing. He teaches on
both degree and executive education programmes and worked closely with the Dean
to develop and embed the school's new Purpose, a programme implemented by Team
Saatchi.
Beyond Saatchi & Saatchi, Richard chairs Planting
Promise, a sustainable educational enterprise in Sierra Leone; is a founder
trustee of the Business Bridge Initiative, which gives a practical business
school quality education to entrepreneurs in Africa and other parts of the
world unable to afford or to access one; and he is both a Trustee of the
British Heart Foundation, as well as Chairman of its £50 million Mending Broken
Hearts Appeal.
Beyond Manchester United, football and family, Richard is a literature, theatre
and film fanatic.
Richard's Lovemarks include Guinness, Eric Cantona, Romney's Kendal Mint Cake,
Paul Smith and Relais de L'Entrecote.
