Amplifon Hearing Solutions to Saatchi & Saatchi UK

24 AUG 2007

London - Amplifon, the largest retailer of personal hearing solutions has appointed Industry @ Saatchi and Saatchi & Saatchi as their agency of record.

With a team comprised of members from Industry @ Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi X, Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive and Saatchi & Saatchi Design the integrated campaign will include TV, DM, and in-store work. The print and online work will run in August and September ahead of the main campaign in October this year.

Amplifon is the world's largest retailer of personal hearing solutions and has enjoyed substantial growth over recent years, largely through acquisitions.

Amplifon hired Industry @ Saatchi in October 2006, under the direction of Haluk Terzioglu, Chief Marketing Executive of Amplifon Worldwide, with a brief to turn Amplifon into a Lovemark. As a result of initial strategic work led by Industry @ Saatchi, further work was commissioned through Saatchi & Saatchi Design and the London advertising agency to bring the brand to life through design and advertising.

Enrico Vacca, Marketing Director, Amplifon, said: "For the past few months, we have been working closely at Saatchi & Saatchi to understand the dynamics of the UK market and to develop a strategy for the official launch of Amplifon, promoting products which we believe will give thousands of people a better quality of life by improving their hearing."

Andy Bell, Strategy Partner from Industry @ Saatchi, said: "Currently, getting a hearing aid is thought of as a negative experience, something that many consumers will avoid as long as possible. Ultimately we want to change the perceptions of the UK consumer and turn Amplifon into a Lovemark."
