Giuseppe Caiazza Named Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi Italy

Giuseppe CaiazzaMilan - Following a run of new business wins in the first quarter of 2010 including Focus Magazine and the Municipality of Rome, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Italy, Fabrizio Caprara is delighted to announce the appointment of Giuseppe Caiazza to the Agency’s board of directors.

Giuseppe Caiazza will be appointed to the Italian board in the position of Chairman from 1 April, a role he will manage in parallel to his duties as Managing Director of Automotive Business, EMEA. Along with Caprara and the Saatchi & Saatchi Italian management team, Caiazza will be helping to define the business strategy of the Agency in Italy over the next five years.

Caprara said: “We are delighted to have Giuseppe join the board of Saatchi & Saatchi Italy. His deep experience in operations across our network, and the insights he brings from many years on the client side are invaluable. Giuseppe will be a strong addition to the team.”

Caiazza was enthusiastic about his extended responsibilities: “I am indeed very proud to join such a talented team with an amazing history of success in my own country. Together with my colleagues, I look forward to developing a roadmap for the Agency’s continued success that benefits both our Italian clients and our international network as whole.”

Caiazza recently relocated to the Italian Agency from his base at Saatchi & Saatchi’s London office, where in 2008, he began his role as MD Automotive Business EMEA, designing and implementing a strategy which led to dramatic improvements in marketing efficiency for Toyota while simultaneously increasing Saatchi & Saatchi’s business with Toyota across Europe.

Giuseppe Caiazza
, 43, Italian, is highly experienced in the Automotive and Marketing Communications industries. He previously held the position of General Manager Marketing & Communications with Toyota Motor Europe, and prior to this, various senior marketing and communications roles with Ford of Europe and Ford of Italy. A truly multilingual and global citizen who has spent almost half of his career outside Italy, Caiazza began his career with Club Med, where he worked in different positions and countries until his last appointment to Country Manager of Club Med’s Argentinean office.

Giuseppe holds a degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University of Milan as well as Executive Development Programs at Wharton Business School and IMD. He is married to Silvia and father of Martina and Gerardo
