Mary Baglivo
Mary Baglivo is a New York business leader who is an authoritative figure in the success of many of America's most renowned brands. She has been CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi New York since 2004 and is Chair of the Americas, incorporating Saatchi & Saatchi's Latin American and Canadian regions.
Mary is an innovation and strategy powerhouse who works with clients Procter & Gamble, General Mills, JCPenney, JM Smucker, Novartis, MillerCoors, Lenovo, and Mead Johnson - companies whose products play a role in the daily lives of American families. She is committed to the Saatchi & Saatchi idea of Lovemarks as the future beyond brands. In 2007, under her leadership, Saatchi & Saatchi New York was named "Agency of the Year" at the Cannes Advertising Festival.
As CEO and Chair of Saatchi & Saatchi's Latin American and Canadian regions, Mary oversees a diverse set of agencies including Conill in Miami serving Hispanic audiences, and Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi in Buenos Aires. Conill is one of the most awarded Latino agencies in the U.S, in 2010 being named by Advertising Age as "Multicultural Agency of the Year". Concurrently Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi was named "International Agency of the Year". Clients in the region include several P&G brands, Coca -Cola, Cadbury, and Sony Playstation.
Her prior leadership tenures have ranged from President of Arnold Worldwide/New York, to CEO of Euro RSCG Tatham and COO of J. Walter Thompson, both in Chicago. She is a Director on the Board of the Philips-Van Heusen Corporation (NYSE:PVH), which owns and markets world-leading fashion brands such as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger; and also serves on the Boards of Ad Council and the American Advertising Federation (AAF).
A champion of inner-city student causes, Mary sits on the Board of Trustees for The Kids Corporation of Newark. Her commitment to excellence has been acknowledged in several prestigious accolades, including AAF's Hall of Achievement and Advertising Women of New York (AWNY)'s "Woman of the Year".
Mary Baglivo graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from Rutgers University and earned her masters degree in journalism from Northwestern. Today she serves on the Boards of both universities. Mary lives in Short Hills, New Jersey, with her husband Jim and their two children, John and Martha, who attend college in Chicago and Boston, respectively.
